Maastricht, Squares, Basilicas and Festivals

Maastricht is a city in the Netherlands. The city about 2000 years old is one of the oldest cities in the country and has a vast cultural panorama.

Bonnefanten Museum is the largest museum in the city. The building dates from 1995 and is located along the river Maas. In this museum there are several collections and galleries of both the great works of the most important masters of earlier centuries as pieces of contemporary art. There are also curious collections of statues, vases and other utensils of clay and silver artifacts.
