5 Urban Destinations Ideal for a Family Visit

urban-family-tripFar from Disney, and classic beach destinations, there are some cities that offer choices for family trips. We concentrate in cities, which often rule to schedule a trip just underestimate them, or falsely imagine, the most unfriendly ones. Chicago / The second U.S. city with wonderful free activities: parks, zoo and to beaches on the lake. In addition, for travel, carriage rides abound, trams and vehicles that will enchant the children. To make matters worse, the city concentrates its attractions in a compact urban center, filled with museums, zoos, and theaters where you have to walk to find some fun.

London / How a true cultural theme park, London focuses almost all its museums with activities designed for children. So the little ones can learn and have fun like few places on the planet (see Londos Pass).

Washington / may come as a surprise, among the many places of entertainment for children, but Washington has much to offer: large zoos, museums from which to observe impressive dinosaurs to spaceships, historical monuments, and unique museum dedicated to espionage.

Singapore / Singapore City, seems to think of every detail so that nobody gets bored. Children also be rejoicing with many theme parks, including water parks and even the world’s largest zoo, where it’s possible to simulate a night safari African night.

Sydney / cosmopolitan city and complete a few, with beaches, bridges, boats, interactive museums and parks to walk from the city. In addition, there are theme parks, and urban and excursions across the Harbor Bridge, in only half an hour where we get excellent views of the city.

Taronga Zoo, The “Jungle” to Walk from Sydney

Taronga Zoo AustraliaIt is the official city zoo of Sydney, but also one of the best zoos in the world view. Located on top of a hill, Taronga Zoo is an urban viewpoint with the frame of the city, the Opera House and Harbor Bridge. Sydney Zoo was opened in 1916 on the shores of Sydney harbor, and is now a great ride for families. It displays no less than 2600 animals in a 21 hectare zoo eight regions representing different geographic parts of the planet. His name “Taronga” is an Aboriginal term for “beautiful view”, as we can see from most of the zoo, with part of the city in the background.

The zoo landscape refers to a rustic ambience thanks to the rocks and vegetation simulating many caves. Over the years, gained a higher profile conservationist and scientific-oriented education for the preservation of nature. Taronga has ponds for waterfowl, rides and attractions including a cable car with magnificent views of Sydney Harbor. The last great transformation occurred in 2000 when it redesigned much of the animal enclosures, incorporating new specimens and species, and deepening the conservation plans.

Taronga Zoo, also has a marine area in the form of Aquarius (Great Southern Oceans), recently opened. Undoubtedly, a visit will be the delight of the smallest, but also a recommended trip for all ages a chance to close the “jungle” city of Sydney and reconnect with nature right in the city.

Montevideo: Walk Through the Old City

Montevideo travelWe continue with our tour of Montevideo, we started in our previous article. Continuing our tour of the Old Town Square are the Constitution that states in the center of the Fountain of the Angels.

The reputation of Grasse begins when arriving in the sixteenth century the first perfumers and apothecaries fashion through perfumed leather tanneries in the city.
