Budget Vacations Planned In Advance

Last minute plans are always the most costly and can result in emergencies. Even with the ability to get a good payday loan online from anywhere when emergencies strike, the best way to be prepared is to simply plan ahead. By planning ahead, you can make use of your social network to reduce costs, negotiate better deals with vendors, and have the best vacation ever.

Get Your Friends and Family Involved

If you have a large extended family all over the world, take advantage and see if some may want to host you for some time during your stay elsewhere. It may mean you have to host them when they arrive in your home town, but it’s still worth the savings. Hop onto Facebook and ask your circle of friends to give you their opinions of places to visit for where you’re going and check out reviews online. It can save you tons of headaches and makes for a better vacation. Your friends may even know how to get some deals that aren’t advertised widely to help plan your next vacation.

Book Early

By booking early you can get the best deals with vendors. Choose to go with a group and enjoy a group rate. Maybe you can get a better deal by bundling your hotel with your airfare. Rental discounts may be had if you join AAA before you go on vacation. Just be sure to also get travel insurance in case something happens at the last minute that makes you change your plans.

Prime Vacation Spots

Some prime vacation spots are booked a year in advance. If you want the vacation of a lifetime, booking early not only ensures that you get a good price, but also that there is a space available for you. If you wait too long, you might get a very expensive airfare only to find out all the best places on the island getaway you had planned are booked.

Korcula: a Corner of the Adriatic

Croatia, this beautiful country with a rich historical past and a city imbued with a monumental beauty out of the ordinary. Croatia devastated by war, still bleeding from the wounds of their infighting. Croatia, a country that raises its head, arrogant, demanding what belongs in its own right: to be recognized as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Europe.

When we think automatically think Dubrovnik Croatia, known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. A city exquisite medieval intense flavor, soft and smooth sounds in their pictures, a decent place to relax and stroll without time or place.

But Croatia is not just Dubrovnik, has beautiful places, places worth visiting and is remembered forever in our memory. From ancient cities with a high architectural value as Split, Osijek and Zadar, natural parks such as Plitvice of how great images we offer in another article, to islands sprinkled across the Adriatic which more beautiful than before.

And one of these islands of Korcula, in southern Dalmatia region, the green and unspoiled island on the Adriatic, a place where you go to be in private, without stress, without pressure or hassles, just to stroll through its streets in Venetian style. Think of your capital with the same name, Korcula, Dubrovnik is to imagine a tiny but, more contained and intimate. A small town of just 4,000 inhabitants seems to have been stuck in the past. A place where we can easily imagine how it was that time with the Mediterranean and the Adriatic were the center of trade to the East.

Historically, this city founded by Antenor, one of the heroes of that famous story of Troy, the island was first occupied by Greeks and later by the Romans. This is because its green forests, where pine forests and valleys alternate and their remote and secluded coves sea have always provided its residents a haven of peace.

The city is surrounded by a stone wall with turrets at the corners. When you disembark and put foot on land, you find gothic style houses with small palaces and all surrounded by narrow cobblestone streets to classic Venetian style. It’s like having stopped in the very heart of Venice (no channels of course).

In the center of the city and dominates, is the Cathedral of San Marcos of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance boasts some frescoes inside by Tintoretto. Opposite stands the beautiful City Hall. Nor should we forget to visit the Church of All Saints in Renaissance style with a beautiful Baroque altar.

But if there is anything of or presume the inhabitants of Korcula are his relationship with Marco Polo. Say he was born on this island, and that she lived for years. His house can still be visited and the views from the tower of the palace are magnificent. He was also in Korcula where he was arrested before being taken to Genoa.

There are many relationships that have the island to Venice and his style, which also is fed by its traditions and festivals. The Moreska or dance of the swords was imported here from Spain and becomes a representation of the struggle between Moors and Christians. Korcula is celebrated on 29 September, the day of San Teodoro, patron of the city, and in it, the white king has to face the Black inside a circle formed by the supporters of both sides. From the towers of the city, as if it were a medieval battle, blowing their horns announcing huge battle and then the party begins …

To end the trip, nothing better than to seek and find Lumbarda, a fine sandy beach that can only be reached from the sea and will serve to settle and start a new journey through some other point in Croatia.
