These famous waterfalls are not renowned for their height, but rather because of its size and flow of water from the Great Lakes of North America. No doubt, it is a wonder on earth that should ever see in life.

Niagara Falls actually consists of three waterfalls: The “Falls Canada” (Ontario), the “American Falls” (New York) and “Bridal Veil Falls.”

Besides its beauty and spectacular Niagara Falls are very useful for hydropower, and promote tourism in the area. Particularly in two cities: Niagara Falls (New York) and Niagara Falls (Ontario).

Recommendations to visit Niagara Falls

* Most tourist season occurs in spring and summer in the northern hemisphere, so perhaps it is best to avoid these dates. However at that time draws much attention from artificial lights on the Canadian side.
* Niagara Scenic Trolley is an agency that offers guided tours through the cave of the winds to a point just below the waterfall, Bridal Veil.
* Two of the best spots to see the falls from Canada are Queen Victoria Park and the Konica Minolta Tower.

Croatia, this beautiful country with a rich historical past and a city imbued with a monumental beauty out of the ordinary. Croatia devastated by war, still bleeding from the wounds of their infighting. Croatia, a country that raises its head, arrogant, demanding what belongs in its own right: to be recognized as one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Europe.

When we think automatically think Dubrovnik Croatia, known as the Pearl of the Adriatic. A city exquisite medieval intense flavor, soft and smooth sounds in their pictures, a decent place to relax and stroll without time or place.

But Croatia is not just Dubrovnik, has beautiful places, places worth visiting and is remembered forever in our memory. From ancient cities with a high architectural value as Split, Osijek and Zadar, natural parks such as Plitvice of how great images we offer in another article, to islands sprinkled across the Adriatic which more beautiful than before.

And one of these islands of Korcula, in southern Dalmatia region, the green and unspoiled island on the Adriatic, a place where you go to be in private, without stress, without pressure or hassles, just to stroll through its streets in Venetian style. Think of your capital with the same name, Korcula, Dubrovnik is to imagine a tiny but, more contained and intimate. A small town of just 4,000 inhabitants seems to have been stuck in the past. A place where we can easily imagine how it was that time with the Mediterranean and the Adriatic were the center of trade to the East.

Historically, this city founded by Antenor, one of the heroes of that famous story of Troy, the island was first occupied by Greeks and later by the Romans. This is because its green forests, where pine forests and valleys alternate and their remote and secluded coves sea have always provided its residents a haven of peace.

The city is surrounded by a stone wall with turrets at the corners. When you disembark and put foot on land, you find gothic style houses with small palaces and all surrounded by narrow cobblestone streets to classic Venetian style. It’s like having stopped in the very heart of Venice (no channels of course).

In the center of the city and dominates, is the Cathedral of San Marcos of Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance boasts some frescoes inside by Tintoretto. Opposite stands the beautiful City Hall. Nor should we forget to visit the Church of All Saints in Renaissance style with a beautiful Baroque altar.

But if there is anything of or presume the inhabitants of Korcula are his relationship with Marco Polo. Say he was born on this island, and that she lived for years. His house can still be visited and the views from the tower of the palace are magnificent. He was also in Korcula where he was arrested before being taken to Genoa.

There are many relationships that have the island to Venice and his style, which also is fed by its traditions and festivals. The Moreska or dance of the swords was imported here from Spain and becomes a representation of the struggle between Moors and Christians. Korcula is celebrated on 29 September, the day of San Teodoro, patron of the city, and in it, the white king has to face the Black inside a circle formed by the supporters of both sides. From the towers of the city, as if it were a medieval battle, blowing their horns announcing huge battle and then the party begins …

To end the trip, nothing better than to seek and find Lumbarda, a fine sandy beach that can only be reached from the sea and will serve to settle and start a new journey through some other point in Croatia.

Paddle Boarding is the new trend sweeping through beaches over the world, it is also the most antiquated water sport on the planet. This is paddle surfing, which is now becoming popular with regular surfers after decades of being unfashionable. Stand up paddle surfing was a mode of transport for ancient Polynesians who used the mode as a method of getting from one island to another. However, now that surfing more a recreational activity rather than a practical mode of transport, the paddle surf has seen a decline. Being much less physically challenging than its younger cousin, it is less sporty and therefore has of the last century been replaced, by the less practical form of standing surfing. With the exception of instructors that would paddle out further in to the ocean to get a better view of their students, paddle surfing has been seldom seen in the past decades. Now on the beaches of Maui and even Cornwall it is not such an alien sight to see a man or woman on a board with a paddle in their hand. This is mostly due to the glamour injected in to the sport by famous practitioners. Spread all over glossy magazines recently was the sight of Jennifer Anniston having a go in Hawaii has attracted many other glamorous types to the sport, coming from the Maui vacation rentals in their wetsuits, ready for a day’s paddle boarding. Now you can go paddle boarding in many locations. There are those who are half freezing to death as they practice the sport in Cornwall, then there are those who go to the home of the activity, back to Polynesia. But Hawaii is particularly popular for the sport at this time of year, not to mention this is the location getting all the celebrity attention. Allowing you to luxuriate in warm seas rather than catching Pneumonia on the Cornish coast. The paddle surf board itself is closer to a kayak than a surf board, broad in size and very easy to stand on. Designed for floating and buoyancy rather than catching and gliding on waves. Thankfully for novices it is much easier to grasp than its younger cousin of what now may be called conventional surfing. In fact it even helps to be inexperienced if you are just picking up the sport. Those that are experienced find it difficult coming to terms with this form of surfing, positioning themselves face on to the water rather than sideways. Then there is the paddle which many that are used to surfing without one find cumbersome. It can seem quite amazing how quickly you seem to pick up the practice. While you’ll hardly be a pro in an hour and there may be a few mishaps, it is also quite easy to become quickly competent. You may tumble at first, with the hard part being going against the current and in to the sea, yet once you catch a flow you can be riding waves in no time.

You will be in fine company, for more and more people are heading north to discover that Shetland today is not a forgotten island group locked in its own past, but a dynamic gem where the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean meet. This land of untouched landscapes and spectacular coastal scenery has more uninhabited islands than inhabited islands. Only 15 of the 100 or so isles have people on them, but those 15 islands have a world of diversity. Each is unique and different from the rest, but all are distinctly Shetland.

Shetland islands tourism initiatives over the years have paid off well. The northern isles are firmly on the North Sea cruise ship map with dozens of liners arriving every summer season, chiefly in Lerwick, the main town of the islands. However, most tourists arrive through the main transport links of air and sea. The main airport at Sumburgh, twenty-five miles south of Lerwick lying just below impressive Sumburgh head with its iconic lighthouse, serves the majority of Shetland’s air traffic. From Aberdeen there is a nightly ferry service to Shetland, with another leaving Lerwick also nightly.

Bird watching is one popular pastime here. The rugged coastal scenery with high many rearing cliffs make ideal homes to thousands of sea birds. Migratory bird also use these island as a convenient stop over on occasion, and sometimes very rare birds alight, only to be pursued by intrepid twitchers who only want to tick them off a list. The islands are also ideal for freshwater angling as the land is dotted by a myriad of azure lochs where trout abound. Sea angling is also very possible from low lying rocks or one of the many sandy beaches.

Apart from three inhabited islands, all the islands are connected to Mainland, the largest island in Shetland, by an integrated inter-island ferry service. The ferry boats carry cars as well as passengers, which makes it the ideal way to explore with a car. And if you have a love for nature and wildlife, keep a close eye on the ferry terminals, especially the stone built breakwaters, as these are beloved by otters who often explore the gaps between rocks, and swim among the long waving plantations of seaweed to be found there.

Shetland islands tourism opportunities are enhanced by excellent accommodation possibilities through out the islands. In the larger population centres there are splendid hotels and guest houses. The villages in the more remote areas usually have a bed and breakfast or two, and there are a number of camping sites for those who enjoy that kind of life. Discover Shetland islands tourism opportunities for yourself and be amazed and the sheer diversity of it all.

A Nile river cruise is the perfect way for tourists to enjoy their holidays in Egypt. The well preserved history of ancient Egypt has some excellent sites along the banks of the river Nile, so many in fact that it can be difficult to see them all in one visit. Lovers of culture and history that want to see as much as possible in a short stay should consider a cruise, as it would allow enough stop offs to see the best monuments without having to book excursions individually.

Visits to Egypt are never complete without seeing the treasures around Thebes and Luxor. Thebes is home to a number of temples and burial chambers including the Valley of the Kings, which yielded the discovery of Tutankhamen in 1922. Not far is the spectacular Hatsheput temple and its central grand stairway. The building merges with the huge limestone cliffs in the background, making it one of the most spectacular sites for visitors on their holidays in Egypt.

Across the water in Luxor is the Karnak temple, rediscovered in the 19th century the building has the mark of many dynasties that contributed to its current form before it was lost to the elements. Further down the bank the Luxor museum houses many treasures discovered in Luxor and Thebes over the last couple of centuries, and even as recently as the last twenty years. A short walk further up the riverbank is the Luxor temple, always lit at night the temple is one of the most beautiful of the ancient Egyptian monuments.

Visitors enjoying their cruises will generally have more than enough on board the boat to keep them busy; jacuzzis sundecks and swimming pools make the Nile’s floating hotels a more than attractive proposition. The fact that holidaymakers are dropped off near some of the best sites in Egypt make the cruise a convenient option, and for those taking all inclusive holidays in Egypt, a good bargain. When guests have finished topping up their tan on the journey south they can disembark in Aswan and visit some great sites.

In Aswan there is a busy street market where reasonably priced original gifts can be bought and there are Aswan and Nubian museums that house collections that have come from discoveries in the areas surrounding the city. Other attractions include the mausoleum of the Aga Khan, built after his death in 1957, and the Botanical Gardens on Kitcheners Island. Visitors can also take an Excursion to the Temple of Abu Simbel to see the facade of the temple built in honour of Ramses II.

Singapore, the famous island, city and state in peninsular Malaysia is the smallest country in Asia. But all that is small, it makes up its grandiose proposals to surprise everyone. One of them is the night safari that can be made at the zoo in tropical jungle of the city, a proposal where we can observe the animals under a light so dim that resembles the moonlight.

The night safari can be done each day between 7 pm and 12 midnight input paying $ 22 for adults and $ 11 for children, plus a transportation fee for the course. The tour includes a walk through a tropical forest area where 1,200 animals are separated by natural barriers, a form of “open zoo” where animals are kept in environments that mimic their natural habitat, no cages oppressive.

The night safari is done in an area adjacent to the Singapore Zoo, which by its nature, is one of the most innovative and famous in the world. The night safari tour, held on a bus adapted for tourists, including a welcome by tribal dances native to the jungles of Borneo, a visit to a path through a botanical garden, entertainment and main course, a tour on the night tram, lasting about 45 minutes between the landscapes recreated in the zoo and animals at different routes.

The forecast for each detail in Singapore is so exhaustive that it is curious to find in the zoo’s official website, a section that reports the new H1N1, and the risks of an outbreak in relation to the number of pigs at the Zoo, and security measures taken. There are other sections for bird flu and another for dengue. I imagine that with so much foresight; will be referred to the needed break for many animals.
